He Is an Accounting/Finance, Organizational Development, Change Management, Leadership and Human Capital Development Professional with experience in diverse industries in developed and emerging markets.

He has been a community activist since an early age and has worked with diverse groups for social justice causes.

He has been involved in several projects to benefit his ancestral home of Pakistan, including: East West Consulting and Training Lead Facilitator In Pakistan, Lahore Women’s College and University Workshop and Training Sessions for professors and department heads, and the Ansar Management Corporation, where he developed a financial model for the largest low income housing development projects in Pakistan.

His diverse professional experience and cross cultural competency equips him to create intellectual and emotional alignment in diverse environments and situations.

His current work focuses on knowledge integration, intellectual and conceptual framework development for professionals and activists. He also focuses on bridging the gap between academia and industry for young professionals as well as curriculum and workshop development for diverse audiences.

He is a graduate of Rutgers University, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PROSCI Change Management Certified and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).

Imam Ibrahim Dardasawi has been the Imam at the Islamic Center of Wheaton (ICW) since 2015.

He has the masters in art of Islamic studies of Quran sciences from The Islamic University /Minnesota and
the bachelor of theology In Islamic studies from GTF (Indiana)
And a BA of Computer engineering from al-israa university in Jordan

He completed the memorization of the Quran in 1999 with certifications (ijaza) and chains of transmission (sanad) for the narrations of Hafs and Shu’ba from Asim,And Qaloon and Warsh from Nafe’ .

Shaykh Ibrahim is recognized for his beautiful voice and speciality in the tunes of recitation ( maqamaat ) as well as his notable abilities in inshad. He has competed with high distinction in a number of Quranic recitals and nasheed competitions worldwide, most notably Sharjah Nasheed Competition in which he placed 1st in the world and the al-Hashimiyya Quran Competition in Jordan in which he placed second place. Shaykh Ibrahim also placed 3rd in the Arab Quran Recital competition in Lebanon in 2007, 6th in the al-Fateh Quran Competition in Libya in 2005, and 9th in the Malaysian Quran Competition in 2013. He lives in Wheaton, IL with his wife and four kids and continues to teach the recital and memorization of the Quran.

Mutazz Alabd, Arabic Department Chair Mr. Alabd joined Universal in 2016. He has a BA in English Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. He also earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the American University in Cairo, Egypt. In 2020, Mr. Alabd received the University of Chicago Outstanding Educator Award!
